Why EasyFlood
Currently, around 1.3% of the world’s population is exposed to a 1 in 100-year flood. In the coming century, coastal flood risk is projected to increase due to sea-level rise, possible changes in storminess, and population growth in flood-prone areas.
Purpose
The EasyFlood project aims to provide an inventory of modelling strategies to assess coastal flooding impacts and implement effective adaptation measures. By developing a comprehensive tool suite, the project will help coastal engineers understand physical processes and design successful flood management plans.
